Subject: Occupy Tech
In the past year Take the Square and Occupy Wall Street have taken physical space to demand real democracy. In the process the development of technology platforms to support the movement principles have emerged. These projects span occupations and squares across the globe bringing together a diverse group developers, designers and technologists to work in coordination to create alternatives using Free/Libre/Open (FLO) source technology.
We believe another world is possible – one in which people have access to the tools they need to create the world they want. To actualize this belief, Occupy tech provides information, communication and collaboration tools to people generating technical solutions to the problems articulated by the Occupy Movement.
