Subject: Coming Together to Organize Around the Issues Facing Union Square & Greater NYC Community

Description: There are many relevant events happening every day! And not just at Union
Square, but all over the city! Right now the NYPD are mindlessly kicking people
out of Union Square at midnight and opening the park again at 6am! This is the
first time in the history of the park that it has been barricaded off by police.
THE 1% are really trying to slow this movement down, both with control of our
corporate media’s newspapers and TV, and with the Police. They DO NOT WANT THIS
MOVEMENT TO SUCCEED and will try everything in their power to create
impediments, obstacles, misinformation, distortion, fear, sheer terror,
distrust, distraction and flat-out LIES.

But these attempts are only STRENGTHENING THE RESOLVE OF THE PEOPLE.

All over the world people are learning the true nature of world affairs, the
scope of the lies and abuses, and people are beginning to FIND and USE their
voices and hearts! People are beginning to take on roles they never dreamed they
would be doing! Becoming citizen journalists, neighborhood organizers, activists
and leaders! People are starting to STAND UP TO INJUSTICE by coming out into the
streets and ASSEMBLING in PUBLIC PARKS AND SQUARE. This seems to be the only
form of redress we have at this point. The normal channels are not working.
Writing our corrupt Congress members doesn’t WORK. WE MUST find a way to bring
the current system… which has been based on FEAR, LIES, DECEPTION, SELFISHNESS,
CONTROL, DEATH, DESTRUCTION, EXPLOITATION AND SUPPRESSION to it’s knees. If we
each put small pebbles in this monstrous machine, it will start to come to a
grinding halt. And WHILE it’s is being slowed down and stopped, we must create a
NEW SYSTEM to REPLACE it with…. a system and public policy that is based on
LIFE, SHARED HUMAN VALUES, PEACE, CLEAN TECHNOLOGIES AND SUSTAINABILITY,
RESPECT, DIGNITY, HEALTH, PROSPERITY, HUMAN RIGHTS & RIGHTS OF NATURE (

YOU CAN’T EVICT AN IDEA WHOSE TIME HAS COME!

EVERY DAY WE CAN, we are in the park WAKING UP New Yorkers to the myriad of
issues that threaten ALL OF US as NYC residents! And GUESS WHAT? People are
finding CREATIVE, IMAGINATIVE, and SPONTANEOUS solutions to these issues! And
often times, when the Police aren’t intimidating, bullying, suppressing our
voices and harassing people, we are actually HAVING FUN implementing these
solutions! Whether it be creating a song and dance routine against corporate
personhood, organizing a human chain against poison gas and fracking, learning
and sharing new skills with our neighbors, coming up with ideas for people to
MOVE THEIR MONEY from the big banks, feeding fellow New Yorkers, composing a
MIC-CHECK to be delivered at a CEO meeting, or engaging our neighbors in
dialogue and discussion… this community building and saving the planet stuff can
actually be fulfilling, engaging and quite fun!

But now it’s time for critical mass! It’s time for ALL OF NEW YORK TO START
GETTING INVOLVED! WE CAN’T AFFORD TO BE ASLEEP ANY LONGER.

Please come down to the INFO & FOOD TABLES at Union Square to see what this is
all about and hopefully START supporting the movement! If history tells us
anything, we know that positive social change NEVER comes from our elected
so-called “leaders”. REAL change always comes from people like US… who are ON
THE GROUND organizing and MOBILIZING our neighborhoods! Thankfully, it has
started. But now we need to REPLICATE what what started at Zuccotti Park and
Union Square and public squares WORLDWIDE to the entire NYC, NY State, & the
USA! We must bring these meetings and General Assemblies into parks,
neighborhoods, communities ALL OVER NYC and begin to solve these problems in a
collective way! And hold the REAL criminal politician “leaders” and “lawmakers”,
CEO’s and out-of-control NYPD accountable!

We must begin to reconnect with our neighbors, talk about what’s happening
around us, and start planning and implementing effective mobilizations and
solutions to thwart off the very grave socioeconomic and environmental problems
that face ALL OF US… not just as New Yorkers, but as human beings on a battered,
assaulted, raped and failing Mother Earth. And we must come together not just
for ourselves, but for all generations to come!

We must stand our ground and we must try our best to not be intimidated by
misguided bullying police or employers and instead BE STRONG and have a LOUD,
UNIFIED VOICE! WE ARE RESOLVED TO FIND SOLUTIONS and SOLVE THESE PROBLEMS
PEACEFULLY, with COURAGE, DISCIPLINE, IMAGINATION, HUMOR, CREATIVITY, INGENUITY,
AND LOVE!

If everyone just does SOMETHING, no matter how small, we will win this struggle!
It’s time to WAKE UP and GET INVOLVED if you’re not already, and start
supporting this powerful social movement! And if you don’t like the way the
movement is evolving, DO YOUR OWN PART TO STEER IT IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION! NEVER
UNDERESTIMATE THE power of people coming together to solve problems. People can
accomplish anything if we put our minds and hearts to it!

THE PEOPLE UNITED WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED!
